Lashun Rodgers was shot twice by a 10 year old. Rodgers was arguing with Lakrisha Isaac, her neighbor. Isaac had been drinking and handed a bag to her 10 year old daughter. The adult women continued to argue and the 10 year old, opened the bag her mother had just handed her, found her mother’s gun in it and shot Rodgers twice in the head.

This past year, Jennifer and James Crumbley, the parents of Oxford High School mass shooter Ethan Crumbley, were sentenced to 10 to 15 years. Each parents was found guilty of 4 counts of involuntary manslaughter in separate trials. Holding parents responsible when their teenagers commit crimes with weapons made available by the parents themselves is a trend that’s growing more and more across the United States.
