LEO’S REFUSED TO REPORT INCIDENT TO SUPERIORS

By SyndicatedNews Retired Law Enforcement Officer | SNN.BZ

In the footage, Officer Spinsky (sometimes spelled Sapinski or Supinski in reports/transcriptions, badge number given as 163 or 16x variations like 160/163) is the partner who intervenes. He tries to explain the situation by saying the affected officer was coming off a double shift and has a bad back, while also deflecting questions from the person recording and attempting to de-escalate or run interference. The impaired officer himself speaks minimally and incoherently at times, and there’s back-and-forth about names, badge numbers, and not touching anyone.

The incident went viral in early September 2025 (around September 5, based on news reports and department statements), though some discussions suggest the actual event may have occurred earlier (possibly June 2025). The Lynn Police Department responded officially by placing the affected officer on administrative leave pending investigation.

Chief Christopher Reddy described it as a “medical-related episode” based on preliminary evidence, and they’re reviewing bodycam footage while consulting medical professionals. No confirmation of drugs/alcohol has been publicly released by the department—it’s framed as potentially medical (e.g., some online speculation includes overdose, but others suggest seizure-like symptoms or other issues, and the department has pushed back on intoxication assumptions in related statements).

Unfortunately, anyone who has seen someone high knows this is opioid behavior. This is not a medical episode as Chief Christopher Reddy implied.

Public reaction online (Reddit, Instagram, etc.) heavily leans toward believing it was intoxication (opioids or similar, given pupil appearance and behavior in some descriptions), with criticism of the partner and other officers for allegedly covering/protecting him instead of getting immediate medical help or treating it like they would a civilian.

No updates on the investigation’s outcome are apparent in recent sources as of early 2026.
