An Open Letter to Ken Griffin, CEO of Citadel
AS ENW YORK'S GOVERNOR AND MAYOR RUIN THE STATE. THE WISE CORPORATIONS ARE FOLLOWING THE CITADEL.
… and to All Visionary Leaders of Business in New York City

Dear Ken,
And to every man and woman who leads with courage, builds with vision, and carries the weight of great enterprises on your shoulders,
I write to you as a former New Yorker who once paid several thousand dollars a month for a studio apartment in Manhattan that had no view—only brick walls and the distant hum of sirens. I left because I chose paradise instead. Today I live in Florida, where the same several thousand dollars a month buys sun-drenched mornings over the water, whispering palms, and a sky so wide it feels like the future itself is opening its arms.
We are ready for you. All of you.
Our Governor has made it unmistakably clear: Florida welcomes the best of American enterprise with open arms and open books. No state income tax. Aggressive tax incentives for corporate relocation. Regulatory clarity that rewards innovation instead of punishing it. These are not abstract promises—they are the reason so many of your fellow New Yorkers have already retired here in record numbers, trading concrete canyons for coastal horizons, stress for serenity, and uncertainty for opportunity. They are living proof that the American Dream did not retire; it simply moved south.
Ken, what happened in New York should never have been allowed to stand. When your personal property was doxxed—just blocks from where a health-industry CEO was assassinated in cold blood—no one in power lifted a finger to protect you or the rule of law. Instead, the same leadership now stands by while members of the NYPD are brutalized in the streets without consequence. That is not the city I once loved. That is not the environment where builders and risk-takers should have to raise families, grow companies, or simply walk home at night.
You deserve better. Your teams deserve better. Your families deserve better.
Florida is not asking you to leave New York out of anger. We are inviting you with love. We see what you have built. We honor the discipline, the long hours, the sleepless nights that created the jobs, the innovations, and the wealth that power our nation. We want you here—not because we need you, but because we believe you belong in a place that values what you value: safety, freedom, fairness, and the right to live without fear.
Come now. Come immediately. Bring your companies, your dreams, your families. The water is warm, the sun is generous, and the welcome is sincere. The New Yorkers who already call Florida home are waiting with open arms to greet their fellow builders, to share stories, to laugh again under stars you can actually see.
Come join us! Not just in Miami but throughout Florida – there are acres and acres of land sitting idle that will be the future locations of New York’s businesses “gone south.”
This is not a sales pitch. This is a love letter—from one who left, to those I hope will join us.
The door is wide open. The view is waiting. Paradise is not a slogan here; it is a daily reality, and it has room for every one of you.
With deepest respect and our warmest welcome,
A Former New Yorker Now living in the beautiful state of Florida.
P.S. Law Enforcement Officers and Firefighters – come on down!
