UPDATE: Crystal Tadlock, drunk, tells cops she’ll let them die
By SyndicatedNews | SNN.BZ
Crystal Tadlock, a 35-year-old ICU nurse at Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital in Houston, Texas, was arrested on October 11, 2025, for driving while intoxicated (DWI) in Magnolia, Texas, after being pulled over for speeding at 66 mph in a 50 mph zone. She admitted to having “a few drinks” at a concert earlier that night but denied being intoxicated, refusing a field breathalyzer test.
Officers noted signs of impairment, including slurred speech and poor performance on sobriety tests, and transported her for a blood draw to measure her alcohol level (results were pending as of mid-October 2025). While handcuffed in the patrol car, bodycam footage captured Tadlock—identified as a nurse—threatening officers, saying,
“I’m a f*cking nurse, and when you come through my hospital, don’t worry, I’ll let you die,” and extending the threat to their families. She also made racially charged remarks, including “And I’m also white.”
Amid her outburst, Tadlock, who had won a DAISY Award in 2021 for “extraordinary” pandemic-era care, compassion, and going “above and beyond,” was charged with DWI (a misdemeanor in Texas) and released on bond.

The Magnolia Police Department publicly highlighted her threats on Facebook, stating they couldn’t charge her for “not being a very nice person” but confirmed the system had removed a potential risk from the roads. By October 14, 2025, she was fired from her hospital job following the video’s release, with officials emphasizing patient safety.
As of early November 2025, her case remains under review by Montgomery County authorities, with no updates on the blood test or further charges; the Texas Board of Nursing has not announced disciplinary action. The incident gained widespread attention through viral bodycam clips and coverage on Angenette Levy’s Crime Fix podcast, which detailed the stop and its fallout.
