NATANIA REUBEN
By SNN.BZ STAFF
Natalia Reuben was one of the clubgoers injured during the 1999 Club New York shooting. She has been vocal about her experience, and she will never be “quieted” about the event because she has not had legal or emotional satisfaction.
The Shooting Incident: happened December 27, 1999, at Club New York in Manhattan. And historically, the entertainment industry press releases are not reports of things that actually happen.
Hollywood writers and music industry promoters prepare every word of every bit of publicity offered to the public. The press releases Sean Combs and his lawyers paid for and distributed to the media (at the time of the incident) stated that Jamal “Shyne” Barrow (a young singer Combs had under contract) had shot Natania Reubens in the face, and that Sean Combs just happened to be standing near him.
Multiple witnesses have stated that they knew Sean Combs had the gun in his hand, but that Combs offered “Shyne” a million US dollars to do the time for him and that Shyne accepted the million dollars and served Sean Combs’ 10-year prison sentence.
The very ugly, realistic problem with that story hat in order to carry it out, law enforcement had to lie to support it. Sean Combs, had to lie to support it, his attorneys, in fact their entire law firm had to lie to support it and sadly, the prosecutors and very likely the presiding judge had to go along with it.
- Natalia was among those injured during the incident, suffering a gunshot wound to her face from a 9 mm hollow-point bullet.
- She consistently maintained that Diddy was the one who fired the gun, even immediately after the shooting and during her surgery.
- Accusations Against Diddy:
- Natalia accused Diddy of being the triggerman, emphasizing that she had never changed her account of the events.
- She claimed that Diddy paid off witnesses and hid incriminating evidence, including video footage of the incident.
- Despite her allegations, Diddy was exonerated and cleared of all charges by a Manhattan jury in 2001.
- Ongoing Pursuit of Justice:
- Natalia has spent the past 25 years seeking justice for the shooting.
- She continues to fear for her life and believes that Diddy was not properly charged.
In summary, Natalia Reuben’s recovery involved physical healing from her gunshot wound, but her pursuit of justice remains ongoing. 🕊️🔫
At 2:30 a.m., 25 years ago, three NYPD detectives were called to the Midtown North precinct.
Rapper Sean Combs, then known as Puffy, his girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, his bodyguard, Anthony “Wolf” Jones, and rapper Jamal “Shyne” Barrow had been arrested following a shooting inside a Times Square club that wounded three bystanders. Sean Combs had passed by someone and bumped him. The man he knocked into took offense and a verbal argument took place.
People shot that night were Natanya Ruben, 29, of Brooklyn, she had a bullet lodged in her nose and cheek. Julius Jones, 27, of Brooklyn, was shot in the shoulder. Robert Thompson, 39, of Connecticut, was grazed.
On arrival to the police station, the three detectives found Jennifer Lopez, then 30, sobbing while seated hand cuffed inside “the cage” which is the term NYPD police officers used when referring to their “holding cell.” Combs was also in the stationhouse on West 54th Street, his plans for a spectacular celebration of the new millennium scheduled for later that week were up in the air.
How could anyone expect that Sean Combs’ current FBI and Homeland Security Investigations would not affect Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s marriage when 25 years ago, Natania Reuben was shot in the face with a gun that many have testified was carried into the nightclub by Jennifer Lopez.
The date was December of 1999 and at the time, Jennifer Lopez was publicly known as Sean Combs girlfriend of record.
Cassie Ventura’s lawsuit against Sean Combs states clearly that he forced her to carry his weapons for him. It is not a large leap to jump to the assumption that Sean Combs expected Jennifer Lopez to do the same.
Then there is the matter of Lopez and Affleck’s core values being so vastly different. Ben Affleck treats wait staff serving his table with courtesy and grace. He is also known to be a very good tipper. On the contrary, when waitstaff approach Jennifer Lopez, they must ask her assistant for her order because Lopez believes she is too important to speak to “peasants.”
Ben Affleck has had recurring alcohol and drug use relapses and is very private about visits to rehab. He does not appreciate publicity of any kind. Jennifer Lopez has been known to have her assistant call the paparazzi ahead of time so that they will know where she will be so that they can be ready to photograph her (while she feigns surprise).
Jamal Moses “Shyne” Barrow, accepted a million dollars and agreed to serve Sean Combs prison time for the shooting. When he left prison, he returned to Belize where he became a local Belize politician like his father before him.
