Community and Real Estate Response
The real estate agent handling the listing for the 25 Malta Street property noted that long-term tenants had been occupying the home “for a while” prior to the police response. Neighbors in the typically quiet Mattapan area reported being surprised by the heavy police presence, as the area historically sees very little activity of this nature.
As the homicide unit continues to examine evidence from the rental property, local authorities are urging anyone with information related to the incident to contact the Boston Police Department. Updates regarding the investigation are expected as forensics and coroner reports are finalized.
