PlantCON 2025 ORLANDO, FL

Exhibitors came from far and wide to attend Kenny Kiet Nguyen’s Houston-based plant PlantCon International in Orlando, Florida. The non-profit organization was born during the pandemic.

Nguyen’s primary motivation was to create a social alternative that would unite diverse plant communities and foster connections among enthusiasts worldwide. Nguyen recognized a significant emotional disconnect between end users and large-scale commercial producers in the plant industry, which inspired him to develop a platform that would bridge this gap and provide an enjoyable friendly space for plant lovers.

The inaugural PlantCon International event took place in May 2023 at the NRG Center in Houston, Texas. That weekend experience featured numerous vendor booths, workshops, presentations, and networking opportunities, attracting many plant enthusiasts.

Building on the success of the Houston event, PlantCon came to Orlando, Florida, this year. The convention was held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando, offering attendees a unique opportunity to connect with fellow plant enthusiasts in a convenient and comfortable setting.

The Orlando event featured many local and international exhibitors, workshops, and networking opportunities, further solidifying PlantCon’s commitment to fostering connections within the plant community.

Nguyen’s vision for PlantCon extends beyond merely organizing events; he aims to create a cyclical reciprocity strategy that reinvests resources into growing community-centric events. This approach seeks to make PlantCon an annual pilgrimage for plant enthusiasts, offering unforgettable, accessible, and fun experiences that benefit all parties involved.

In addition to his work with PlantCon, Nguyen is dedicated to supporting minority entrepreneurs and business owners through the With Heart Collective. It is his “With Heart” collective that legitimizes his plant work as it has true 501(C)3 federal status. This initiative provides educational resources and support in areas such as tax compliance, branding, and marketing, fostering connections and promoting diversity within the community.

Through his efforts with PlantCon and the With Heart Collective, Kenny Kiet Nguyen continues to make significant contributions to the plant community and beyond, promoting inclusivity, education, and connection among diverse groups.

Nguyen’s Orlando, Florida show was a huge success, and we expect them in Orlando, Florida again every year!
