In their twenties, Larry and Stewart crossed paths through a New York Times classified ad. Larry, then a headhunter at an employment agency, helped Stewart, who was seeking a public relations role. This serendipitous connection sparked a lifelong friendship.
Building Bonds and Celebrating Milestones
As their friendship grew, I met Larry after Stewart and I began dating. By then, Larry had founded his own Executive Search Firm and married Isabel, a talented chef known for her exotic dishes. Stewart stood as best man at their wedding, and Larry returned the favor at ours. Over the years, Stewart and I shared joyful moments with Larry and Isabel, including the adoption of their son, Donald, whom we watched grow into a bright and witty teenager.
Life’s Twists and Turns
Life took us in different directions. Stewart and I moved to South Beach, while Larry and Isabel parted ways. Donald headed to college, and Larry relocated to the West Coast, where he met his current wife, Joy. For over two decades, Larry and Stewart lost touch—until a recent Zoom call brought them back together.
