Stewart and I (Dena Stewart) attend the eMerge Americas conference at the Miami Beach Convention Center every year, and every year we are more and more impressed with what we see and hear about the future of our ecosystem and the modern technology being worked on. This year being the Tenth Anniversary of this high tech conference, the startup companies were innovative, the speakers were inspirational, and the uplifting vibe throughout was remarkable.

This year being the Tenth Anniversary of this high tech conference, the startup companies were innovative, the speakers were inspirational, and the uplifting vibe throughout was remarkable.
eMerge Americas was initiated by Manuel D. “Manny” Medina, “one of South Florida’s most successful tech entrepreneurs” and his daughter Melissa Medina-Jiménez. (Manny is noted for selling his Terremark data services company in 2012 to Verizon Communications). With Manny’s entrepreneurial savvy and Melissa’s brilliance and energy, eMerge Americas, a venture-backed platform, is rapidly helping to transform Miami into the tech hub of the Americas.
With impressive guest speakers, we learned what was important in order to succeed in this highly competitive world where having a good idea could turn into a creation that may help to save a limb, or the environment, or a heart. We learned a little more about AI (Artificial Intelligence) and how it can help to move discovery forward, faster and easier.
And what better way to celebrate the Tenth Anniversary of eMerge Americas than a grand block party on Lincoln Road.
So, we now look forward to the next eMerge Americas conference to learn about the latest in technological advancements, meet some of the brilliant innovators, hear what the most successful entrepreneurs did in order to succeed within the competitive high-tech ecosystem, and be inspired by the great ideas that will ultimately make our world a healthier place to live in and enjoy.
