Kuandyk Bishimbayev, former Economics Minister of Kazakhstan, brutally murdered his wife, the 31-year-old Saltanat Nukenova, a TIK TOK influencer in November 2024.

Nukenova, who had married Bishimbayev against her family’s objections, was found lifeless in a restaurant owned by one of her husband’s relatives. The couple had spent nearly an entire day and night at the establishment before she was discovered unconscious.

CCTV footage from the restaurant captured the chilling reality of the situation. The footage showed Bishimbayev beating his wife repeatedly with such brutal force that she suffered fatal injuries, including blunt force trauma to the brain. Her skull was fractured, and she sustained massive internal bleeding. Despite being unconscious for several hours, Nukenova received no assistance, ultimately succumbing to her injuries.

The case quickly drew attention due to Bishimbayev’s powerful connections as a member of one of Kazakhstan’s wealthiest oligarch families. His status and influence have played a significant role in his ability to evade legal consequences for his actions.

In the past, Bishimbayev has been involved in various serious allegations, but his position in the elite class has allowed him to sidestep accountability, with the legal system doing everything it could to protect him from facing charges.

The lack of accountability has outraged women’s rights advocates, who are now calling on the new leadership of Kazakhstan to take decisive action. They are demanding that the government re-criminalize violence against women and ensure that those in power, like Bishimbayev, face justice.

Despite the overwhelming evidence against him, Bishimbayev’s wealth and influence have cast a shadow over the investigation, further fueling calls for systemic reform in how such cases are handled in the country.

Nukenova’s death has become a rallying point for those advocating for change, and the case serves as a painful reminder of the deep-seated inequalities and barriers to justice faced by many in Kazakhstan. Activists are calling for a system that applies the law equally, regardless of an individual’s wealth or status. The tragic loss of Saltanat Nukenova has sparked outrage and a demand for accountability that can no longer be ignored.

Where is this couple from? They’re from Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan has a rich and diverse history that spans thousands of years, shaped by various nomadic empires and powerful civilizations. Its territory has been inhabited since the Paleolithic era, with ancient cultures such as the Scythians and Saka tribes leaving their mark.

The region was later influenced by the great empires of the Mongols and Turks. In the 18th century, Kazakhstan became a part of the Russian Empire and later, following the Russian Revolution, it became a republic within the Soviet Union.

During the Soviet era, Kazakhstan underwent significant industrialization and collectivization, but also faced severe repression and hardship, particularly during the Stalinist purges and the forced relocation of entire ethnic groups.

Kazakhstan declared its independence from the Soviet Union on December 16, 1991, and since then, it has worked to establish itself as a sovereign nation with a growing economy, a focus on political and social reforms, and a role in international diplomacy. The country’s unique position at the crossroads of Central Asia has made it a central player in regional and global geopolitics.

Unfortunately for the female tik tok gal, while Kazakhstan may be modern enough to have WIFI, residents of Kazakhstan live by a very short list of rules and regulations. Men rule everything and men, if they are connected to a wealthy family rarely see the inside of a prison cell. Women are still subject to 18th century restrictions. While many follow social media, the elderly and conservative entities consider a woman showing herself on social media as the equivalent of adultery. Hence she has no mercy from her own society.
