Scene One: A disaster occurs during a mission below the depths of the ocean. At the time, the cause is unknown and Captain Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) makes a hard decision to sacrifice a few of his crew to save most of them. Jonas suffers from guilt and blame. He escapes to Thailand to live easy and drunk.

Scene Two: Five years later, another mission and another underwater disaster. Jonas is called upon to save this crew led by his ex-wife Lori (Jessica McNamee).

Scene Three: The cause of the disasters is discovered, a vicious, tremendous 75-foot Megalodon shark – the kind that roamed the bottom of the sea when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

The mission now is to take down The Meg before it kills more people.

The remaining Scenes include numerous views of the giant sea creature and its humongous teeth, high-tech underwater vehicles, lots of deep-sea tension and many bloody deaths.

Hitting all the points of an exciting, fast-moving action-adventure film, even a hint of romance between Jonas and deep-sea diver Suyin Zhang (Li Bingbing), The Meg is guaranteed to keep you on edge, and me out of the water.
