A 15-year-old Brooklyn girl was charged Monday with murdering her mother and her mom’s boyfriend — leaving their bodies to rot while she rang in the new year in Times Square, sources said.  Destiny Garcia was charged with two counts of second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the gruesome Dec. 28 slayings of Rosie Sanchez, 38, and Anderson Nunez, 40DEADCOUPLE2

Initially, Garcia told police she murdered the pair because she was sexually abused by Nunez, and that her mom had turned a blind eye to the repeated attacks, sources said.

But on Monday, NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said the girl changed her story, claiming she was actually being beaten by her mother, and the boyfriend was the one who wouldn’t help.

“She said basically it was the mother that actually was abusive to her, physically abusive to her, in the past,” Boyce said. “We don’t believe this was at all an act of self-defense. She went and got a gun…. That’s not consistent with someone (acting) in self-defense.”

Garcia’s close relative and confidant Jason Valentin, first cousin of the slain mom, said he doesn’t believe any of it.

“What she’s saying, I don’t think is true,” said Jason Valentin, 37. “It sounds like someone coached her to say that.”

Valentin said he called police, and drove Garcia from Sunset Park to the 61st Precinct stationhouse after she told him what she had done.

“It was hard for me, but at the end of the day, whether family or not, a crime was committed,” he said. “Whoever is responsible, even if it’s her, they have to pay for what they did.”

The teen kept the killings and her alleged role in them secret for nearly a week — and went shopping and then to Times Square for New Year’s Eve three days afterward, sources said.

Walk-In LabOn Monday, the girl gave a confession to cops at the stationhouse in the presence of her father, police said. She’s being prosecuted as an adult and was arraigned Monday night.

Garcia’s mom died of a gunshot wound to the head and a stab wound in the chest, the medical examiner said. Nunez was stabbed in the head, neck and torso.

Sources said Garcia told police she grabbed a gun out of a drawer in her mother’s bedroom and fired at least two bullets into Sanchez. Then she allegedly fired the gun at Nunez. It’s not known who the gun belonged to or how long it had been there.

During a struggle that spilled into the kitchen, Nunez grabbed the gun, but she stabbed him several times in the back, cops said.

Garcia told cops a second teenager was in the hall. He entered the apartment when he heard the struggle with Nunez.

Police are looking to speak with that teen, who has not been identified. Police believe the mystery friend gave Garcia a gun earlier that day, sources said.

According to the criminal complaint, Garcia acted “in concert with another individual” who stabbed Sanchez after she was shot. The individual also stabbed Nunez along with Garcia, the complaint said.

Garcia fled the crime scene in a car, police said.

The bodies rotted for six days in the Sheepshead Bay Houses apartment, sources said.

On Dec. 30, Garcia turned up at her father’s house but didn’t tell him anything, cops said.

On Sunday, a man named Rodolpho Richardson flagged down police around 7 p.m. because he hadn’t seen Nunez and Sanchez since Christmas.

Meanwhile, Valentin also got worried and called 911. He hadn’t seen Sanchez since Dec. 23.

“I hadn’t heard from them in a few days,” he said. “Rosie is like my older sister. She’s like an angel. And Andy, the boyfriend, the most polite guy in the world, no matter what she’s (Garcia is) saying.”

Police went with Richardson to the apartment, where they found a horrific scene. Nunez was covered in blood, sprawled in the kitchen. Sanchez was in the bedroom, also covered in blood.

Blood from the deadly struggle was all over the apartment. Cops found five .380-caliber shells and two knives in the apartment.

Meanwhile, Garcia told Valentin she killed Sanchez and Nunez, and told them where she was. He alerted police.

As police drove to an apartment on 57th St. in Brooklyn, Valentin called her on speaker phone while cops listened and got her to admit to the murders, sources said.

Neighbors gave differing portraits of the teen.

“They got problems,” said Tiffany Jackson, 21. “She was just like ‘I don’t want to be bothered’ kind of attitude, ‘I can’t wait to leave’ kind of attitude.”

“She was a very calm girl,” said Irma Rivera. “She looked like a normal kid. Tranquil. There was silence from that apartment.”
