In memory of the Stonewall Riots which occurred back in June of 1969 cities across America continue to memorialize the event every June with their own LGBT Pride Parades and Festivals.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida is the U.S. city with the highest concentration of gay couples so this year there was no exception.

Since I’ve moved to South Florida in 2011 I’ve attended the Pride Parade & Festival held in Wilton Manors every year. Although I have enjoyed the event every year this year things seem to be a little different. I noticed more booths than any of the previous years which took the vibe to a different level.

The center stage was filled with some amazing talents and included X-Factor contestant Lillie Nicole McCloud and Legendary Percussionist Sheila E. It was a festive evening filled with Song, Dance, and Pride.
