Japan’s oldest and largest “love doll” maker, Orient Industry, has been producing silicone love dolls since 1977.

Photographs taken inside Japan’s oldest ‘love doll’ factory show the frighteningly realistic extremes the makers have made to create a life-like product.

It has seen a growing trend in intimate relationships with the dolls.

The Orient Industry’s factory produces approximately 500 life size hand-made dolls per year.

And, thanks to the work that goes into each one, they costs up to 600,000JPY (approx. £5,000).

Each one takes four to five weeks to be completed with life-like faces, bodies and private parts.

Pictures taken inside the factory show the handmade creations being lovingly assembled by workers.

It stocks at least five different dolls, all with differing body shapes and faces.
