Americas Food & Beverage Show 2024
The one word to describe The Americas Food & Beverage Show & Conference (2024) is AWESOME!
BY DENA STEWART
They came from Countries all over the World to introduce their foods and food-related products to the American market. Food buyers for small and large supermarkets, convenience stores, etc., came to see what was new and make distribution deals with the small Mama & Papa startups, as well as with established food companies.
They came from Countries all over the World to introduce their foods and food-related products to the American market. Food buyers for small and large supermarkets, convenience stores, etc., came to see what was new and make distribution deals with the small Mama & Papa startups, as well as with established food companies.
As media covering this three-day Trade Show for AliveOnSouthBeach.com and Syndicated News Network “SNN.bz”, Stewart and I made our way through the Exhibition Halls (plural) in the Miami Beach Convention Center, tantalizing our palates with tastes we weren’t accustomed to experiencing and it was delightful.
Our interests, besides sampling new foods, is talking with the proud people who created them. While some represented chain stores, many more were there to promote their own innovative product, be it healthy honey energy bars, artisan made fruit jams, or gourmet waffle mixes.
Each aisle or two represented a different Country or State. Frozen, canned, wrapped, packaged, boxed, bagged, or fresh, all the quality food items offered were prepared as they were meant to be eaten. We sampled Seafood from Canada, smoked meats from Thailand, sausages from Germany, cheeses from Spain, and soups from India.
Next, was Pizza from Italy, homegrown olive oil and tomato sauce, and pasta in all shapes. Assorted meat and veggie Empanadas from Venezuela and Tacos from Mexico, healthy organic grains from Illinois and tofu from China, couldn’t be passed up. Of course, there were freshly baked French baguettes, Italian breads, Middle Eastern Pitas, and NY bagels and bialys. All were accompanied with butter and fruit jams, Hommus and Tahini dips, smoked fish spreads, and Russian caviar. Israeli Falafels were included.
And let’s not forget dessert. Giant sized Mississippi Mud ice cream sandwiches, creamy rich fruit-flavored frozen custard, coconut and mango Flan, Argentine Dulce de Leche tortes, American fruit pies, assorted French Macarons, Cuban Pasteles, Southern cinnamon buns, Miami-made chocolates, and chewy Turkish Delight.
Coffee from Brazil, Teas from Asia, Wines from grapes grown in the best worldwide vineyards, assorted alcoholic beverages, fruit smoothies, energy drinks, and flavored water were enjoyed while on a break from eating and walking.
Most appreciated on day three were the gorgeous displays of fresh fruits and vegetables, and bouquets of freshly cut colorful flowers.
The Americas Food & Beverage Show & Conference has grown tremendously (4 Halls) since inception and, with all there was, there was plenty more. So, Stewart and I look forward to covering this exclusively “business to business” event next September 10th – 12th, 2025 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
