Adriana Ruggiero sues Estrella TV, Andrés Angulo and Liberman

Adriana Ruggiero

One of the beautiful Latin talents at Estrella TV, Adriana Ruggiero was dismissed in retaliation for complaining when her boss told her she had a “beautiful pair of tits” and that “she should show them off more.”

She filed the lawsuit as a “Jane Doe” except that the many instances citing in the actual legal brief happened during work hours hence co-workers having witnessed the events were present. Everyone recognized Ruggerio immediately.

Ruggiero bit her tongue for some time but eventually got angry enough to sue her employers. She’s suing for wrongful termination, sexual harassment and breach of contract.

The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, names LBI Media, Inc., Liberman Broadcasting, Inc. and Andrés Angulo as defendants and lists the plaintiff as Jane Doe.

A source has confirmed to SyndicatedNews.NET that Jane Doe is definitely Adriana Ruggiero.

Andrés Angulo

In the lawsuit, the anchor claims Andrés Angulo, the Vice President of News for LBI Media-owned Estrella TV, told her that the company’s owner Lenard Liberman wasn’t too convinced about promoting her to a national newscast, because she “didn’t look sexy enough.”

He allegedly told Ruggiero she had “a beautiful pair of tits and should show them more.” It would have been a bit of gossip except that the management’s sexual harassment of women is not only an industry standard but a Latin standard very common in Hispanic culture as well.

The scandal would be entertaining except that this is one of two active sexual harassment cases against Angulo and the Liberman, Estralla TV network. Karla Amezola has also sued.

Latin television encourages their anchors and female television personalities to dress to provocatively. Broadcast companies draw little distinction between dressing their female on air personalities for success or dressing them merely to attract male viewers.
