GRINGO

GRINGO is fast-paced, exciting, full of twists and turns, satisfying ending, convincing actors and great entertainment. Totally enjoyable.

12 STRONG

Riveting! Captivating! Enthralling! Ordinarily, action war films are not my choice of entertainment, however 12 STRONG is everything it's said to be, and more. Edge-of-your-seat, high octane,...

THE COMMUTER

On his daily commute home, Michael McCauley (Liam Neeson), just fired from his job of ten years as an insurance salesman, is approached by a beautiful woman (Vera Farmiga). She poses a puzzling...

THE MAN WHO INVENTED CHRISTMAS

Taken from a book by Les Standiford, the Mazur Kaplan company, along with several other producers, brought this delightful film to life. Directed by Bharat Nalluri, from a screenplay by Susan Coyne, this movie starring Christopher Plummer and Dan Stevens, will appeal to young people and old people, alike.

THREE BILLBOARDS

With perfectly-timed acerbic barbs laced with obscenities, sharply clever and achingly truthful dialogue, applaudable and cringe-worthy violence, and extraordinary acting by Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell, THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI is sure to be a classic cult film.

LAST FLAG FLYING

With perfect delivery and character development, LAST FLAG FLYING made me laugh, cry, and fully understand the depth of trauma, physical and mental, caused from serving in wars with no genuine meaning to the people who willingly give their life for their country.

THE FOREIGNER

The Foreigner is about a Chinese restaurant owner whose teenage daughter was killed in a politically-motivated bomb attack in London. When he finds out that IRA terrorists are responsible, he goes to a former IRA member, now a British government official, to find out the identities of the elusive killers. Plot twists and violence make this film exciting and engaging.

INCONVENIENT SEQUEL

Cameras follow Former Vice President Al Gore as he travels around the world in pursuit of the inspirational idea that while the stakes have never been higher, the perils of climate change can be overcome with human ingenuity and passion.

BEAUTY, FOOD, AND FUN

Episode 66 of Alive on South Beach includes bathing beauties, French Baguettes, Rogue Lifestyle "toys" for the one-percenters, French Cuisine at its best, the re-opening of Espanola Way, and the reason being "Alive on South Beach" is so special.

DETROIT

Dark, intense, anger-provoking, and at times difficult to watch, this true depiction of racism, hatred, and the ugly abuse of power, must, fifty years later, be talked about and constructively dealt with until history stops repeating itself.

VALERIAN

VALERIAN and THE CITY OF A THOUSAND PLANETS, directed by Luc Besson, was visually beautiful with incredibly magnificent 3-D special effects, and a few breathless moments.

THE HOUSE

Scott and Kate Johansen must figure out a way to earn some money after their daughter's scholarship falls through. When all else fails, the desperate couple join forces with their down-on-his-luck neighbor Frank (Jason Mantzoukas), to start an underground casino in his home.

THE BEGUILED

A romance-psychodrama based on The Beguiled by Thomas P. Cullinan, the subtle expressions by all the exceptional actors, the woodsy background scenery, indoor sets, and gorgeous period costumes set the stage for a realistic sense of foreboding.

Unfair!

Unfair! Unfair! How strongly have we felt that "life" was not fair? We’ve all experienced the burn of unfair treatment at one time or another, some life changing injustices and some real or perceived favoritism. So what did we do?

IS THAT A GUN IN YOUR POCKET?

When a young boy brings a loaded gun to school, his mother reacts by galvanizing the women in town to wage a "sex strike" until the men get rid of their firearms. Using all the NRA clichés, this satire helped expose the NRA as a small, but very vocal lobby whose mission is really to sell more guns rather than look out for the welfare of the people they supposedly represent.

MIAMI FILM FEST

Carrie Pilby and Chronically Metropolitan touched on blatant flaws in others, compromise in perceptions, awareness of own limitations, and willingness to accept life, as it is, and go on with inner strength. Both films had well-known stars, were wonderfully acted, and had engaging characters.

BEFORE I FALL
